The Cavemen of Sacromonte

While they aren't Neanderthals, 90% of people who live in Sacromonte (an outer suburb of Granada) are still living in caves. And I can't say I blame them! While we were trekking up the mountain in 35 degree heat, the caves are cool, with natural climate control. Despite the pain, the views were definitely worth it! Tomorrow we make a similar trek up to the stunning Alhambra, which you can see in the top left of this photo.
